Terms of use

Purpose

These terms of use govern access to and use of the LexGabon website and related services, including the Ama'IA legal assistant.

Acceptance

Use of the site implies unreserved acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

User account

Some features may require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential. Activity carried out from your account is deemed to be yours.

Use of the service

You agree to use the site fairly, in compliance with applicable laws and without infringing third-party rights. The following are prohibited in particular: unauthorised access to systems, attempts to overload or alter the service, abusive automated use (unauthorised scraping, massive automated queries to the chatbot, etc.).

Ama'IA service

The Ama'IA assistant relies on generative AI models. Its responses may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies and do not constitute personalised legal advice. You must systematically verify any information against official sources (Official Gazette of the Gabonese Republic, OHADA, CEMAC, COBAC, CIMA portals) and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional. Ama'IA cites its sources when the document index allows; when no source is cited, additional caution is required.

Intellectual property and content

Editorial content, source code and databases remain the property of the publisher or its partners, subject to users' rights over their own data. Official legal texts reproduced on the platform remain the property of their respective issuing authorities.

Personal data

Processing is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection law. The data collected (session identifiers, Ama'IA conversation history, bookmarks) is used solely for the operation of the service. You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection by writing to contact@alin-africa.com. A detailed privacy policy specifying legal bases, retention periods and recipients will be published in due course.

Changes to these terms

The publisher may amend these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one published on this page, together with the update date when provided. It is your responsibility to consult this page regularly.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law applicable at the publisher's registered office. In the event of a dispute, the parties shall endeavour to find an amicable solution before any judicial proceedings.
